What's on for families and children?

Sunday Services

For many people, attending Church as a young family can be a challenge, especially when the children are young and not used to attending Church.  With this in mind we have made our 11.15 Services to be most easily accesible to young families with children and we hope you will give us a try.

Each of our 11.15 services takes place in the Community rooms (across the carpark) and we sit around tables, rather than in pews. There is a small creche at the back and services finish between 12.15 and 12.30.

11.15 Treasure Chest - every first Sunday

A very informal family friendly service with lots of activities, puppet Bella, crafts, children songs, teaching from the Bible, prayer and refreshments.

11.15 All age service with Holy Communion - every second Sunday

A family friendly service with Holy Communion where we sing together, involve the children in various activities or crafts, hear what God has to say through the Bible, speak to God in prayer, and remember God's sacrificial love as we share bread and wine together (with ribena for children who have been accepted to receive Communion).

11.15 All age Service - every third, fourth and fifth Sunday

A family orientated service with a mix of contemporary and children songs, hearing what God has to say through the Bible, speaking to God in prayer and plenty of opportunities for the children to learn and engage through craft and a range of activities. Our fourth Sunday may include a Thanksgiving for children or a Baptism, in which case we'll meet in Church.

Growing Together provides an opportunity for young families with children aged 5 or above to spend time with their children and other families playing games, or doing play-doh, colouring, crafts, jigsaw puzzles, traintrack, and much more. There is also time built in to grow in our Christian faith through children and adult orientated teaching and singing.  The cost is £1 per family to cover refreshments and crafts.
